Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJob Opportunity: Psychiatrist (Adult or Child)Our organization is seeking a dedicated Psychiatrist to join our team, focusing on outpatient care.
Work Schedule- Days: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Patient Load: 12-15 patients daily
- On-Call: No on-call duties required
There is an opportunity to engage with medical students and residents if desired, though this is not mandatory. You will benefit from a robust support team, including:
- Team supervisors
- Case managers
- Community support specialists
- Schedulers
- Nurses
- Primary care consultants
Additionally, an on-site pharmacy and pharmacist are available to assist with patient care.

About UsOur organization operates as a community health center, providing and coordinating behavioral health services for over 8,000 adults with serious mental illnesses and children with significant emotional disturbances across several counties, including St. Louis City and surrounding areas. As an Administrative Agent for the Missouri Department of Mental Health (DMH), we play a crucial role in facilitating access to mental health services funded by DMH and act as a gatekeeper for the public mental health system.
Role PurposeThe primary goal of this position is to deliver exceptional care by ensuring the safety and well-being of patients within your assigned service area.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members to achieve outstanding clinical outcomes.
- Oversee the medical care of assigned clients.
- Engage in performance improvement initiatives, task forces, and committees.
- Conduct and document patient histories and mental status examinations in medical records.
- Education: Doctorate in Medicine
- Experience: No prior experience required
- Licenses & Certifications:
- Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration
- BNDD - applicable state certification
- Licenses & Certifications:
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Psychiatry Residency/Board Eligible
